Roof tent and camp cabinet tested!

    Hi all,

Went camping this weekend and tried our new roof top tent (thanks to the Market place and 3landerblue).

Also finished off the camp cabinet - works a treat and makes things a lot more organised.

We also bought an RV2 30 second tent and it is also great.

Thought I'd share some pics of our new setup, thanks to everyone for their input and assistance along the way. Thanks mcrover for your advice on modifying our roof rack too.

Good looking set-up there Nat. Looks like you have also found a great camping spot - looks nice and peaceful.

We went to a place called King Parrot, it is in Deans Marsh (start of the Otways). They only let 28 people camp there at any one time. Their main focus are their cabins which are at the top of the property, you drive down to the bottom of the property to get to the camp ground. (Great laugh to see 2WD go up and down after a bit of rain )

Great place, no one there, hot showers (Easter treat!) and they will drive down on a quad bike to drop off fire wood at night if you need it (think it is about $20 for a load that lasts about 2 nights).

At Easter it's $50 a night but normally it's $35 - not sure if it's different for more than 2 adults. There are little bush walks you can do etc but generally its just a relaxing place.

    Looks great Nat and Stu,

Our tent is a bit different as it goes off the back of the Landy but it's great to see it all fits nice.

I love your camp caddy, I think I will have to knock one up for me as Im working out of a plastic box and the fridge at the moment.

Does the whole lot move on the suspension when you move about the tent?

I think that only a 130 owner could truly appreciate the incredible sexiness of your rig!
