I've considered the idea of an ex-army one but they seem hard to get (especially in Tassie) and may not be that suited to the Disco anyway. I don't have the skills to build one which leaves buying one as the main option. At this stage I'm leaning towards an explorer from O'Briens in Melbourne (1.2m long, wheels and track matched to the Disco, solid lid) as everything I've been able to find suggests they know how to make a good trailer. However, I thought I would use the collective wisdom on here to see if there's anyone else I should be looking at?
So, any suggestions for other manufacturers?
cheers, Andy
Hi Andy,
Whatever you end up deciding on, make sure it is galv/ hot dipped. I have seen MANY painted offroad trailers after 1 trip looking a bit worse for wear, stone chips and rust already
I would urge you to take a look at the simplicity of mine,(Cape York Trailers) although it is a bit big for what you need I reckon, it has some good construction and strength/ durability pointers. You're welcome to take it for a 'tow' if you like.
How was the break?
