How hard is it to get a locker for the rear ?
Do you use an air locker?

The detroit works very well in a 101 and overcomes loss of traction due to stiff suspension lifting wheels and brings the off road performance equal to that of modern patrols and cruisers with a little bit of lift.
there may be none or one or two left from the USA from only one dealer.
Eaton/detroit for 101s are no longer being made.

    Question Detroit Locker

You mentioned a dealer in the US that may have a locker for the 101. Got a name, site etc?

The detroit will not work on the front diff and a manually operated locker must be used.
The rear diff makes a great difference locked, but the front diff is alot more work to fit with less overall gain.

I've contacted that mob in the US. See if there's any left, plus a price landed in WA.

Just got a reply (bloody quick and a Sunday as well) back from gbr. Still got some lockers left. $499 + $60 frieght. It's in US dollars, as I don't think Bill would of did the exchange rate thingy for me.

    That's about $521 aussie.

They are autolockers, not air lockers.
    Just thought I'd clarify that.
