    All theoretical at the minute, no money to spend on engines.
    The Isuzu's are ~300Nm, 130hp stock. 170hp/500+Nm by turning screws. With no internal pump mods (just better turbocharging) they'll top out around 250hp and 600+Nm.

    But the Isuzu's just aren't around in the UK, so a bit of a moot point for you.

    I'm hoping I might get round to doing something with it this year, depends on money, which is what makes this Leyland/DAF lump appealing, its there and at least half the price of a Cummins.

    I suppose I shouldn't mention there's a nice GS heading out there in a container from my locality over the summer?

    Thought you might like to see this DasLandRoverMan... ZF 5 speed which usually sits behind a Cummins 6bt. Nick ('The Big Purple One' on YouTube) used a simple little conversion shaft which slides onto the output shaft of the ZF and then is held there by the LT230. Bit of fancy plate work and the job is done. Think the LT 230 would need a little assistance from Mr Ashcroft in the CDL department though!!

    Not seen that picture before, but I have had some correspondence with Nick about the conversion.

    I believe me made up a shaft from the adapter piece for the ZF auto onto an LT230 (FTC5090) with a DAF drive flange pressed and welded onto the end.
    Neat idea by all accounts.

    Still liking the idea of the cummins, but with Td5 Discos now becoming ludicrously cheap, and having seen how well they can go (mates tuned one in a 110, towing 3.5 tonnes up hill at 80mph and still pulling) I'm very tempted by the idea of a Td5 101, even more so by the idea of doing one on coils with the Disco II axles and power steering.
