A few more 101's in Perth. I'm sure we could arrange that.
Who wants to buy one? I'm sure we could find one for you.

"No! No! Stop it!" [screams as wrist appears behind neck}.

Of course I want one, but even the 1/2 acre is looking crowded and my dear, gracious, encouraging wife, will probably look at me with a jaundiced eye after buying a sports car and even mentioning a 101

What sort of price are they going for nowadays?

    Cheers Charlie

    Depends.
Restorers delights are around $15k. Almost finished projects $20k to $25k. Fine running examples $25k to $30k.
I reckon I can find at least one in each category. I was just told of a really nice one for a little under $30k.
    What's your pleasure?

    Abstinence sadly

Mind you for the price of a "nearly finished" one, I could buy another Alpine

So the long lost Gazz suddenly pops up in Ian's thread but no Ian.
Nice to know you still have the 101 Gazz - I was trying to contact you back when I was thinking about buying the one I've since bought. I ended up catching up with Ian and checking his out for comparison and education purposes. I'm also SOR.
    Cheers, JayBo

I`m still kicking around John, but not much to report on the 101.
I`ve had a busy time just lately, We ran the Annual W4 Challenge a few weeks back, got over 50 of the TeamW4 Landies together in the Toodyay hills for a bit of fun, and then last weekend we were Racing the Rangy in the 2nd round of the Rocks and ruts racing series up the coast, had a few dramas but that's another story.
Hope to get stuck back in to the 101 next week. Thought I might pay a visit to the licensing office with all the info I have and see if I need anymore paper work as all I have is a receipt for my purchase , and a sales contract from when the previous owner bought it from a car yard 20 years ago.
I don't have any chassis number plates either so will probably have to get one of those. Also need to know if I can register it without a roof or roll bar as I haven't decided what to do with it yet. The 101 itself still just needs wipers and the mud flaps moving across, apart from I`ve noticed an oil puddle under the steering box since I filled it up, so that might need to come off.
So close but as all Land Rover owners know, time is the enemy.

If it was manufactured without either it doesn't need them now and if they were designed to be easily removable, point that out to them when you ask.

By comparison my Alpine doesn't have either; neither does a WW2 Willys jeep, nor any Series Rover necessarily,

    Cheers Charlie
