That is what happens when you drive a fat 101 :o.
The trim GS model does a bit better

I was very happy with the way that the 101 went. I cruised at about 90kmh for the entire trip. Today on the way home the outside temp got to about 32c - and the engine temp rose to about 100c on some long hills. The engine temp soon dropped down to about 94 once we hit the flats again..
25lt/100... Holy cow! Think I'd b up for a case of divorce if mine did that! Cracking pictures tho!!! :)
Great pics GG. :)
Hi All,
Took the 101 for a long weekend - off to Mansfield with the Land Rover Club of Victoria.

The 101 went well - apart from a slow leak in the drivers side tyre.
It was good to get out and use the 101!
About that shot "heading back down the mountain". Has your 101 been telling porkies? It's nose seems to have grown worse than Pinocchio's! :D Great photo's though. Looks like a great weekend and Mt Terrible doesn't seem so bad.:wasntme:
Hi John,
Well spotted - no I was in a nicely kitted out D2 when I took that photo... I don't have low range looked up yet (due to the auto box set-up) in my 101, which is something that I plan to investigate further before taking it off road.
Plus based on the size of the 101 - I'm not really sure how much off-road stuff I will ever do..
Mick - you know me all to well.. I am definitely more of a sedate driver then a rock crawler.. My coconuts aren't big enough and the 101 is too important to me to try anything severe...
Wombat in May sounds like a great idea... Round up the usual suspects?
