Hi Sitec,
SWMBO enjoyed herself!
I hope :wasntme:
Although I didn't tell her about the fuel consumption figures, or else she'd have a stroke!
Hi All,
Not exactly an adventure - but I washed the 101 for the firs time since taking delivery (about 9 months).... :wasntme:

Tyre black and all!!! :)
It actually came up quite well I think!
Looks great, i think that little V8 is short lived with those consumption figures.
Hi All,
So I took the 101 to the Wallan Classic Car show today... :wasntme:

I thought that I was the only land rover there - until I spotted this little gem:

Obviously it is a Series I. According to the owner - it's a 1949, he has owned it for over 30 years - and had just completed the restoration. He said that it was a ground up restoration, still running the original 1.6 engine in it. It was his maiden voyage (driving from Nunawading to Wallan which is about 65km). I asked him if he used aulro and he said that he did, although I didn't catch his username...
Bet it generated some interest... Lots of people have never seen one, let alone know what one is!! :)
Hey, Tom.
You should try filling the Perentie from empty.
Dirty Harry (or is it Clean Harry) looks great. I should have gone to the event at Wallan.
Oh, well, I'll focus on Dookie then Hanging Rock.
Hi All,
Went away for a long weekend in Dirty Harry. Headed north to Milawa.
Went to the Brown Brothers winery, then a cheese factory, mustard shop, across to a market in Wangaratta, and the Jazz festival.
Here is the entrance to Brown Brothers..

A shot that I took in a park in Wangaratta - while SWMBO was walking around the market.

And Harry hiding at the Wangaratta caravan park:

Harry has been driving quite well since I had both carbies rebuilt by a specialist. He starts a lot better.. I don't think that it has helped the fuel consumption though - on the last trip my calculations say about 25l/100...
