    defender series combination

    gidday all , ive got a defender ute chassis still with fire wall seat base an turret i think u call it ? an a couple of series two utes layen around has any one ever tried to put a series cab on a defender chassis be good use up sum bits an make somthing usefull

    You would need a defender firewall & have to modify the roof as the series windscreen is lower.
    Basically the doors & rear part of the cab fit pretty well.
    I did use a series cab on a County.

    thanks mate thats a big help all though i dont have any god defender gaurds i was planning on useing series gards bonnet roof onto a defender fire wall i will just have have a go an see wat happens

    Series 2/3 panels off a 109 are basically the same dimensions as the equivalent panels on a 110. Major exceptions are the windscreen/roof join and the bonnet - except for the stage 1 bonnet.

    Another problem is the location of the wheels. Both front and rear axles are further back on the 110, but it is likely that the cutouts for the wheel flares will cover this.

    To meet the ADRs for a Defender, it will be necessary to use a number of Defender bits or get engineering approval for things like door locks, dashboard, etc. (This will also rule out, for example, Series 2 door and windscreen hinges.
