Not during warranty I don't..... cause I get free servicing every 12,000km or 6 months.

Mate, we are probably a bit fatigued out on the topic of oils. If you do a search for oil recommendations here you'll see why.

The LR spec says that it should comply with the Ford spec WSS-M2C913-B which is a 5w-30.

My service department use a fully synthetic Mobil 1 brew.

Quite a few of us do.

However we also know how to use the search function to find topics that have been covered innumerable times before.

If I could make another suggestion; type your question in something vaguely resembling English and you are more likely to get an answer. If you want someone to take the trouble to answer your question, then it is only reasonable that you will take the trouble to make your question easy to read and understand. Most of the 106 people who viewed your post may have given up trying to understand what you wanted to know after the first couple of lines.

The Castrol 'Professional' oils are good, but only available in bulk.

my scrutiny of the site failed to answer what i wished to know,,,,questions to at least 8 L-r dealers---/castrol and shell technical departments, basically revealed a pandora,s box of inconsistancies, hence the question was posted.

i spend most of my time ,in the scrub,or out on the ocean,,,,, pc.s and laptops r not part of my daily routine.

unaware that i was in the company of perfection,,,,,,,,,,,if you struggle with short and to the point, such is life .

the post is hardly complex or difficult to decipher.

boiled it down to castrol 5-30w slx proffesional bmw longlife-LLO1
do you have an opinion on this oil?

some of us give without judgement.

In spite of the fact that you have reacted badly to my first attempt to help you understand why it took two days for anyone to respond to your post, I am prepared to offer another suggestion that might help you get a quicker answer in future.

If you use a descriptive title for your post instead of a cryptic one, there is usually a better chance that someone will read it and respond. It has a further advantage in that if it elicits some useful information in the responses, when other people are doing a search there is a greater chance that they will find the information.

I am trying to be helpful, but of course you are free to ignore any of the advice given on this forum.

I didn't claim to have deciphered it.

I merely identified it as being cryptic.
