If it's definitely a 1985 V8 5 speed, the vin number will be what you have tried. SALLDHMV7BA plus the serial numbers. Unless you can confirm those numbers it's going to be pretty hard to locate.

Clive 22 has an '85 Red County 5 speed & he is in Vic. Not sure what Bullbar & it would take me hours to locate a video of it.
Worth emailing him. Sorry to dob you in Clive...

Bet he won't sell it though...

Have you tried getting in touch with the LROCV as I think there's still a bit if a register running of known County/Defender details within the club. Its possible the last registered owner was a member.

I have finally found some info on this and wanted to get it out there again. I am looking for an '86 Red 110 County V8
VIN number SALLDHMV7BA237676
Engine Number 22G00134
Original rego CTI 060
Has been re-registered in Victoria with a new registration number, but unsure what it is.
Current registration was cancelled (due to non payment) on 15/07/2016 So the chances are it is still about!
This is as much info as I could squeeze out of Vicroads which is more than I expected.
I have done as many searches as I can online and came up with nothing.
I had to ring Jaguar Land Rover themselves to get the VIN but they could only tell me the vehicle is out there registered somewhere under a new rego, but no more than that (privacy laws)
Has anyone got any ideas on how to track this vehicle down now that I have the VIN?

There is a red v8 landy on gumtree here in Adelaide for sale for 16,000. Maybe its the one ur looking for??

Me again, sorry everyone for persisting with this but once i set my self to do something...

So I've gotten lucky of late and (don't ask me how but i had to pull a lot of strings!) I have gotten some really useful info off of Vicroads. So here it is,

1) Current owner has had the car since the 13/08/99
2) Current owner purchased the vehicle from Tiny Town Prestige Vehicles on Nepean hwy Greenvale.
3) Current owner installed lpg on 20/04/2000 at Bayswater Fleet Maintenence pty ltd
4) Rego was changed from CTI 060 to MI 110 (my 110) at some stage (date unknown.
5) Rego was changed again on 15/06/15 to 1EU4MG
6) Rego was allowed to lapse and was cancelled on 15/07/16

So as you can see this is all a big help. Obviously my first job tomorrow (only opened the letter from vicroads this evening) is to ring the two business mentioned (they both still exist) and see if they have any records, but armed with the new rego's i thought i would put it out there again as MI 110 is a fairly rememberable rego and obviously owned by a Land Rover enthusiast. Please spread the word far and wide and help me bring the old girl home!

It seems strange that it was only purchased a year ago but has already been taken off the road.

Be prepared for the fact it may have been damaged or being used as a parts car.

EDIT: I missed that you said it was the same owner. Maybe the owner has just bought a new landie (or perentie) and transferred the MI 110 rego over.
