The Discovery wheels must have a different offset, the rims being further out so the front wheels turn further before tyres foul the radius arms. There could be troubles with the load rating of Discovery wheels though, again making them illegal. The 3500kg GVM of the 130 is rather hefty .

Looking for a Used 1830 Trayon now - if anyone knows of someone selling I'm happy to take it off their hands

    thx again
    Chris

ps : Austastar, your Innovan looks a cracker. Never seen one before. I'll look up their site. Every damn Defender I see on this site looks beautiful. Not mine. Unfortunately.
Landies are narrower than patrols and cruiser wagons, but wider than LC troopies and trays (landies are same body width, but wider track).

Stock Disco wheel are same offset as 110 wheels. 130 wheels are offset further out (13 mm).

However disco wheels are used because they are wider and can be modified by flipping the centre to achieve better offset, and move the tyres out from the radius arms so allowing more steering lock. But remember increasing track width more than 25mm (13 per side) is not legal (but has benefits).

Wheel spacers are not legal unless they are standard fitment for the vehicle (not landies).

Gotta start somewhere - '96 130 Big Cab destined for a Trayon.

Waiting to fit long-range fuel tanks and some other bits and pieces. Mounting on the chassis needs to be re-welded. Maybe a 40 litre emergency water tank on one side and a tool box on the other.

Wish i could figure out how to attach pics so they are not just thumbnails. Feeble. They are sized 640x480 so that seems right - no ?? I'm clicking on 'attachments' and uploading as per instructions. Help. Seems I'm not alone though.

    Hi Hokoman

I don't know if it is the correct way.
I click on the attachment to the reply and open the photo up, then use the copy and paste function to then place the full picture in the reply.

    extra cab looks great

    hokoman,
the model you have is just about as good as they get. All mechanical and you can put the seat back a couple of inches more. room to keep the rifles behind the seat and a bag of clothes dry....
    envious !!

if LRA ever got their cr*p together and imported the larger cab model they would sell heaps.

The "big cab" 130 was not imported like that, but converted here in Australia.

I haven't got around to installing the 50mm galvanised mesh onto the head board yet.
