If you'd like me to quote just flick me a PM or an email with your VIN so I can be certain on part numbers

Thanks Sarah, I was unaware you could supply engine parts etc, it's good to know we can get these parts locally at reasonable prices!

    Cheers,

    Tim

    Hi Sarah,
Thanks for the in formation on products you supply. I will keep you in mind when it comes to purchasing these items. I was not aware that non-dealer Puma parts were starting to become available now and that we are now not totally locked in to the dealer pricing. It is good to know. It is also good that we can support Australian suppliers who can sell items at a competitive price.

seems now the truck is throwing up a fault code. an internal electrical fault in the ECU, so rare that LRA are getting one out from UK. and we will see what happens.

    Yep, it's exactly that.

The Puma has an annoying ECU-controlled EGR, which means you can't just blank it off like on the Td5. If you do, the Engine Malfunction Light comes on & stays on.

BAS has now developed an ECU remap that basically tells the EGR valve to stay shut, see this thread on the UK forum:Defender2 - View topic - EGR shut to minimium tuning upgrade available at BAS & I

I'll be taking the book of words with me to see if there isnt the potential for a simple fix.

Here's some info from Ford on how to inspect a EGR valve for internal damage:
