I saw it described somewhere as like turning the Queen Mary with a broken rudder.

I am not sure why people in car parks get frustrated when I do a 3 point turn to park!

The Puma 90 does a bit better in the turning stakes only because the tail follows as closely behind!

In all seriousness, the 90 and especially the Puma must be the easiest car in the word to parallel park. You can see all four corners clear as daylight, it's shorter than a VW Golf (4188mm vs 4077mm) and the PAS makes it easier to steer than most small town cars.

    Love that 90!

Have you driven a Series LR? Surely it couldnt be as bad as that...

What is different about the Puma front ends that makes it worse than previous coil sprung 110's?

Only driven a series 3 in the bush and a stage 1 on the road and I would say that the puma might almost be worse I think its just to do with the stop bolts on the wheel units (near the swivelpins but not sure yet but everything in the front end seems to be the same as the older ones (except for smaller/shorter cv's). I find it very embarrasing and dangerous the turning circle on the pumas I was following a td5 110 oneday and he done a Uturn in a back street he suceeded but I had to drive fully onto the footpath

No problems starting, clutch, rear diff or CD player... touch wood. But U turns are a real challenge! And entertaining for those watching.

Why would a Pumas turning circle be inferior to previous Defenders and Counties? Maybe Pre delivery never got around to setting the lockstops, or possibly LandRover limit the steering angle to preserve the smaller, weaker CV joints?

I adjusted the pump stops on my 2001 Defender and it made a reasonably improvement.

Spacers may help, but ultimately its bad.
