    Brake Controller in a Puma

    Hi all,

I am looking for ideas to mount a Brake Controller somewhere in the Puma.

Where have you mounted your Brake Controller in your Puma? Obviously, this will be dependent on the type of Brake Controller you have.

I think this thread is best answered with photos - and we all love photos don't we?

He is one that Drover has sent me to kick it off...

OK, I don’t have a brake controller ‘yet’, I do intend to install one. I always envisioned installing the control on the shelf to the Left of the steering column. Now looking at the photo, I’d have at a guess the control unit is to lager (wide) to fit in that space.
Questions: Is there a control made that’s small enough to fit there? If so are they any good?
    Cheers
    Craig

I have a prodigy that clips into it's holder when I'm towing.. It's on the shelf to the lower right of the steering wheel. Works a treat and I unclip and remove it when I'm not towing.

I would send a pic but the baby is off at the panel beaters. Was showing off going up hill in the mud too fast and hit a tree. Doh!

Put mine slightly forward of one in picture but on inside of panel. Held in place with good old Velcro. Been there quite a while so seems ok. And it's out of sight. The adjuster knob is posistioned further up panel. That's a pain to fit but doable.

OK I know I’m revising a old tread but…………. I have finally bought and fitted a brake controller. I know there are compromises with this particular unit, but seeing as I don’t actually own a trailer-caravan-boat trailer that requires or has electronic brakes I’m more than happy with my decision and the way it’s turned out.

I had the same unit in my D2 also in the same place and will probably repeat the process in my Def90 (when he arrives).....can I ask why you thought you comprimised with the unti? I found it always worked well in the Discovery.
