    Fibreglass Puma Bonnet

    Hi All,

Has anyone got any experience with the fibreglass puma bonnets that Rovacraft are importing? Keen to see the quality, fit etc.. apparently I would need to drill holes in it for hinges etc...

    Thanks guys!

I bought one about 6 months ago for my county to clear the turbo cross over pipe. It more then clears the pipe i think ill be fitting a top mount intercooler in there now. yes you do have to drill the holes for fitting, but there is indents there to mark where to drill so that makes it easy. Quality wise i think they are pretty good. i wouldnt want to walk on one but they are neat looking and fit well. i work in sydney during the week if you would like me to bring the bonnet down to have a look at it.

cant remember the exact figure, but i think it was the $800 plus mark to my door. sounds expensive but i didnt like the idea of giving my bonnet a home made bulge, i think it would of looked like crap.

I'm thinking if I need to replace my puma one in the future it may be a lot cheaper and lighter than the Land Rover one.

Just had to adjust the spring with the nuts up and down until i found the sweet spot. No actual modifications dont to the bonnet it could use some rubber pads thought to stop it rubbing on the guards.
