    Recaros

    Does anyone else have Recaro Specialist Medium in their Defender

    Im after a pair of Canvas Seat covers, Black Duck do have the model listed but asked me to send a photo & now tell me they do not make them for this chair. No luck with the other canvas seat cover maker either.

    Also the Seats seem to wind themselves back, is this a common Recaro thing,
    My wife keeps telling me "who's been sitting in my seat" and I have not even been eating porridge. I have to wind mine forward 1/3 turn every morning.

    Hey Don,

    Your only option is source some custom made units.

    I have a SVX, stock with Recaro's, I have tried every where for some water proof/canvas seat covers, no luck.

    I have even contacted Recaro direct for some help, they were not interested at all, just stated seat covers would not enhance the aesthetics of their seats.

    Customs are available at any good canvas or horse rug manufacturer but they will be exy.....

    They'll do custom seat covers (any material including canvas) at autobarn.. takes a couple of weeks and they aren't overly cheap but still cheaper than black duck - I was quoted about $200 for mine..

    I have an old pair of professionals and they wind themselves back as do most infinite seat adjusters.

    Don, give the Ideal seat company a call. Thats where I bought the seats! The rolling back is a problem with the recaro's that is easily fixed. I did it once before to the drivers seat. I cant remember all the steps though so give them a call.

    Also pm me your address and I'll post you those receipts. I mislayed it somewhere during the reno's.
