I got “looked at” today
I view this as a milestoneConsidering I wave at all and sundry Land Rovers, and because I’m in the D4, well, no one give a toss, so no one acknowledges my waves.

So,, as I’m travelling up the Hume FW near Benalla/Wang towing a horse float today, as I’m looking at what I think was another D4 (maybe D3) heading South, I notice him looking at me![]()

Nice series IIa and I exchanged waves while in the 87 county today. Would liked to have been able to each stop for a chat but was not to be.
Scratching my teenage itch now that I'm in my midlife crisis...

The most gratifying waves come from the non-Defender Land Rover Owners...the Discoveries and the Range Rovers.
Forgive me if you waved and I didn't!

Ex 300Tdi Disco:
I have been a tad puzzled by this thread. No, really.
As I understood from years ago it was always 'The Land Rover Wave' & was never type specific.
Always wasted on Toorak Tractor drivers. "I say Woger (Life of Brian voice), why did that scruffy uncouth bogan in that green j**p thing wave to me?"![]()
Waves from two Defenders yesterday between Port Macquarie and the Hawkesbury and another a few mins ago from a Defender in Windsor.
Cheers

OMFG! HM the Q sometimes drives a Deafener, do you think it could have been her?
She has a characteristic wave from years of practice & she could have been following this thread, so who knows?
Being a bit of a traditionalist I wonder what her thoughts are on the new job & whether she will willingly swap it?
She may even say "Phil, that new Land Rover thingie looks a bit crap & it appears to be chockas with electronics & none of our poncy family will know what to do if it ****s itself. Maybe we had better ask Wills lad & maybe put him on the Royal payroll just in case?"
