Drove to Yass last Thursday (and back on Saturday). On the way down passed a red County (may have been an early Defender) coming the other way in Wellington as I remember. Waves all round.

Not a Defender wave as such because I was in the Lightweight instead, driving along the Great Ocean Road this arvo.
Got waved at from a LandCruiser Troopy, a Ranger Raptor and a 'new' Defender 110!
Waves are nearly everywhere in Tassie, especially around the edges.
Seriously, when in the 110 I wave to all other LR, be they Ser, County, Def of any age.
I usually get a wave back. So I expect others here give them a wave too.
Bit different if I'm in another marque though, they would wonder why I'm waving.
As for receiving waves, I've even got a wave from a Disco and a Rangie.
There was one day, when traversing a rough bit of supposed gravel road, I got a wave from a solo dusty Toyo with agro tyres, going the other way. I think he was either glad to see another vehicle on that bit of "road", or, he was congratulating me for giving it a go. I think I had the advantage though as I was going downhill.
I had a fail this morning. Grey 110 on Pennant Hills Rd. Just caught it out of the corner of my eye as I was changing lanes, but too late to wave.
Made up for it this arvo. Another grey 110 on the M2, big waves exchanged. Driving the Defender to work makes me feel like I’m still on holidays.
I got a wave from a new black on black on black 110 this morning.
It surprised me as I was in the 80", & yes I got over the shock quick enough to wave back.[wink11]
while driving a Puma 130 this morning i got a wave from a troopy and a FJ40. i think i have an identity problem.
Got a wave from a maroon td5 extreme this morning
