Driving up Bells Line of Road (North Richmond) this afternoon looking at the endless column of east bound Easter traffic coming down the mountain and low and behold a new 110 Defender waves at us (in our ‘96 300Tdi Defender).
So we waved back a little surprised.

Well there you go! Stopped at a T intersection this morning on my way into town for a coffee and a new dark grey 110 passed, not a wave but a nod so I waved back and he smiled. Two in a week now…
Waved at a grey/black roof 110 east bound on Durham St in Bathurst around 11am today. Not sure if he noticed us on the other side of the road in our Td5 Ute.
Got a wave from a grey 110 Puma heading west between Lithgow and Clarence (Zig Zag railway)
Exchanged waves (and grins) with another freshly minted L663 Defender as we passed it heading north on the M1 just past the Wahroonga junction.
Parked at Bunnings Alexandria exchanged pleasantries as we strolled to the entrance with the owner of a 110 300Tdi tray back. Among the topics of conversation were the issue of Defender waves and those from (or not) the L663 We agreed that it should be compulsory. He also owns a couple of Series 2 Land Rovers.
