I gave a very late wave to a Defender, a week or two ago. It had a "Defenders Australia" windscreen sticker on it. I think it was just North of the Sunny Coast, on the Bruce. I'm assuming they would have reciprocated, if they noticed my wave.

Took my daily drive a 1957 S1 shorty hardtop painted matt black and white roof into Gympie for my weekly shopping this morning.
Exchanged waves with a neat grey Defender packed for touring, heading north just out of town.
Got a big wave from a maroon defender with a trailer crossing the Hawkesbury river bridge at north Richmond on Monday!

Generally only wave to defenders, series and early Disco’s.
Response from Ranger Rovers and new defenders is close to zero.
Got a wave from a D4 driver while driving the Perentie through Bendigo today. Sorry I didn't wave back if you are on here, you caught me off guard.
