I am depressed................. sold the Deefer and now have a RRS - still wave at Defenders, no wave back............. now also wave at fellow RR and also even, sigh, discos and...... you guessed it, no waves at all. I have always tended to wave at all things Landrover and in the Defender usually got the wave back. I guess thats why its the 'Defender' wave
The wave is still strong since I've had my Td5 here in Sydney.
Almost every Defender I've seen has waved back
There a few Defenders in and around Mudgee/Gulgong, but they don't seem to have heard of the Defender wave; I'll keep trying though.
I wave / nod to other Defenders even when I'm on the motorbike ! I'm sure that causes some confusion !
While on Chrissy holidays in the 101, I drove it about 1000KM - waved at every Land Rover that went by. Got 2 waves returned - both from Defenders.:)
When I drove buses, bus drivers who did not wave to other bus drivers were automatically given the nickname of "concrete arms"!

I'm driving home to Brissy ATM and currently at Coffs Harbour. I'll stand by my OP comment that Puma drivers are the worst. I passed 5 Defenders yesterday in NSW and 2 of the Pumas just looked at me as if I was insane (which is probably true!) Bah Humbug!!
Dealers are to blame. I'm blaming them. Should be part of the delivery handover:D
