    I'd say that was pretty important when one is 30,000' & just about to go Super Sonic & a spring clip sprung off because some one hadn't lockwired it together.

    I recall my Col used to complain about Radial Engine oil leaks on the DH Caribou.

    See - that was your Col - I would worry when the engine stopped leaking oil - as that would suggest there was no oil left in the engine

    Going in to Dubbo this lunchtime, got an enthusiastic wave from a White D4. That does not often happen.

    A big wave from a Keswick Green 110 today. He was climbing the switchback into Mt Wilson dragging a work trailer as we descended. I've seen that one before so I think he's a local to that part of the Mountains.

    Defender wave alive and well in Tasmania. I've just moved to Devonport from Queenstown. So, West Coast to North West Coast. Seems to be a small handfull of Defenders around and they all wave!

    Around here the wave has grown to include disco owners too! -I'm all for it.

    I'm now getting waves from general SI cars all over too!! Had a bloke offer to buy the 110 at the supermarket carpark;
    Defender is becoming a classic...

    Wasn't it always?

    Sell your 110 to Karl. A born again teenager it appears.

    Two unusual "waves" today.

    Pulled up at the lights at North Richmond alongside a stornoway grey 110 Puma. Window down I leant over and exchanged the appropriate courtesies. He then asked "is your aircon working?"....so I said "funny you should ask me that. Not well.... mine needs a re-gas?" His wasn't working either..light turned green and off we went!

    Stopped at roadworks at Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens and one of the gardens staff was mowing the grounds nearby. I noticed him staring and smiling and then as the ride-on mower turned toward us I got a big wave...I guess that the mower wasn't his daily drive and a Defender is! Of course we waved back!

    Thats nothing.

    My W/E ride is a Rover (mower) (a Red One) & I get plenty of waves, usually a bit of verbal too, "Get back on the footpath yer ****ing mug."

    Lots of waves (or maybe they are angry Gesticulations ) & usually from the next doors.

    In true Rover fashion, I change down a cog in my 6 speed box & just zoooooooom away & leave them in a cloud of dust simply because I hadn't disengaged the Cutter Disc & being on Dirt.

    4 Defender Waves today: 2 white L663s, a 130 CC and a blue 110 all on Bell's Line of Rd.

    I think I'll make my L663 white......they look very smart!
