Come on guys... Time is running out to place your order with Mulgo...

It seems despite the interest on here he has been underwhelmed with orders so far.

If you don't get in by the end of the month they will be back up to the normal price of $450!

    All done - order placed.
    Many thanks Daniel.

Is anyone going to try gluing them in or finding some other means of fastening them?
I am not sure if I like the pop rivet look, and would prefer to keep the slightly cleaner look of the glued in Puma windows.

Sikaflex products hold most buses together (aluminium panels glued to aluminium frames).

I would have no issues using sikalex marine sealant to glue them in. I may use a combination of the two as I already have rivet holes. In factory 110 windows there is a plastic strip which covers the rivet heads.

The only issue you'll have with gluing them without rivets is holding the new window in place until the sealant sets. The original windows on a Puma have a small lip on the inside edge of the aluminium frame. Some little plastic blocks are pushed in between the lip and the outer panel to 'pull' the window and panel together.
The new lift up windows don't have the lip, so you'll have to work out a way of holding the window tight to the panel. You might be lucky and have them sit nicely in place, but the chances are the panel won't be perfectly straight so you'll end up with some gaps.
With the window open, you might be able to use a series of blocks and clamps, not to do up tight, but to hold the panel straight.

    Cheers, Murray

In my opinion sikaflex will work, as Murray said, just make sure you clamp the window in overnight.

    Cheers,
    Daniel

I wish I could. It's hard to win an argument to buy these ATM when I haven't finished doing the 4 or 5 other must do projects I've spent cash on.

Thanks anyway mulgo. They are on my wish list.

Ah, but these are only ~30 mins a side to install on a non-puma, so can't really be called a project.

Yes and on a puma a lot longer, took me nearly two hours to get one window out this afternoon, came up with a bit of a system so hopefully the other side won't be quite so bad but still a mongrel of a job.......
