How about Casper the friendly ghost. I call my 90 BERT (bloody excellent rover truck) or (British engineering rules Toyota).

Mine was a little second hand (not much) when I bought it.

Strangely enough it came with cruise control that looks like a factory fit. I tried to use it, it wouldn't work. I thought maybe these are radio controls - they were not..

Turns out there is an aftermarket kit available, there is a switch over near the wifes knee that I have to hit, it is marked with an = button (why? who knows?) and turns on an orange light.

No bull, it works the cruise control which keeps the vehicle roughly within 10kph of where I set it - give or take.

I too struggled with a name and ended up with Tom - as it came with "cruise" . Stupid maybe, but hey it worked at the time.

Only problem I have now is that since fitting the safari rack Tom won't go back into the closet, he's just a whisker too tall to fit - ironic isn't it!
