    Its in my Driveway.Whoo Hoo!

Ok I picked up the Defender this afternoon, managed to get to tyre shop in time and the KM2's are on it.

Just got a few questions I did not have time to run through with the salesman as I took off pretty quick to make it to tyre shop.

    1) While I was driving I was looking for the tilt adjustment for the steering wheel, does anyone know where it is?

    2) I cant find the Traction Control Button

    3) I have no idea where the switches are for the rear power windows, or are they only controllable from the back

    4) Also while the air con button is pressed in and the fan is on Zero it still works???

    5) I could not see the cruise control buttons either, (I feel pretty stupid they must be right in plain view and I cant see them)

    6) Also the trip computers, uno distance to empty, trip time etc etc, cant see them either?

    7) And for the life of me I cant get the bluetooth working on the radio deck?

    8) I will also have to take it back next week, because I think while it was in the yard someone must have stolen the side map pockets.

    9) Im just curious is anyone else's Puma missing the mirrors from under the sunviser? Mines missing, this means the wife will keep using my rear view for her makeup.

    10) The buggers I reckon must have swapped the new drivers seat for a used one, because my ass sits lower than my knees, its like the padding is missing??

    11) I thought this was missing the Horn, but I ended up finding that, it was on the blinker, Ha go figure, a horn on a blinker

Now besides those few little items I cant find, its great, oh I did get a sore shin from the handbrake, but i'll try work out a way to relocate that up on top of the dash, seems like there is plenty of room up there.

I had a funny experience though, there must have been an aeroplane or helicopter following me home, and although I did not see them to make out what it was, they were there the whole way home, and every-time I stopped at the lights it sounded like it was going to land on my roof. Now I don't consider myself psychic but whenever I turned the air conditioning off the Plane or Helicopter would go away. Beats me????? Oh and at one stage I thought I lost them when I turned a corner from lane 1 and ended up in lane 3.

Your not going to believe this either, heaps of people must have really loved it, because every time I would turn at a roundabout they would all beep there horns and wave at me, I thought it was really nice, they must have been able to tell it was a new car. It did get a bit anoying after a while, it was like I was famous or sumthin all that beeping and waving, I have no idea why they would wait for me to get to the roundabout first to wave & beep

    Anyways, here is some photos

    1) While I was driving I was looking for the tilt adjustment for the steering wheel, does anyone know where it is?

    There isn't one.

    2) I cant find the Traction Control Button

    There isn't one.

    3) I have no idea where the switches are for the rear power windows, or are they only controllable from the back

    No idea.. I have a 90

    4) Also while the air con button is pressed in and the fan is on Zero it still works???

Yup, mine does too.. push the air con button in (to off) and it stops.

    5) I could not see the cruise control buttons either, (I feel pretty stupid they must be right in plain view and I cant see them)

    There isn't one lol..

    6) Also the trip computers, uno distance to empty, trip time etc etc, cant see them either?

    Hahahaha! See above..

    7) And for the life of me I cant get the bluetooth working on the radio deck?

    As above...(I think)..

    8) I will also have to take it back next week, because I think while it was in the yard someone must have stolen the side map pockets.

You so already know the answer to this one..

    9) Im just curious is anyone else's Puma missing the mirrors from under the sunviser? Mines missing, this means the wife will keep using my rear view for her makeup.

Yup someone stole mine too.. not happy Jan.. grab a couple of those little ones at Super cheap with the elastic band..

    10) The buggers I reckon must have swapped the new drivers seat for a used one, because my ass sits lower than my knees, its like the padding is missing??

I don't have a problem... but then I am only 5 foot tall..

    11) I thought this was missing the Horn, but I ended up finding that, it was on the blinker, Ha go figure, a horn on a blinker

Yup.. wait until you go to beep someone and hit the windscreen wipers by mistake lol..

Now besides those few little items I cant find, its great, oh I did get a sore shin from the handbrake, but i'll try work out a way to relocate that up on top of the dash, seems like there is plenty of room up there.

Nope.. you have to put your GPS, UHF and tyre monitor somewhere... buy shin guards..

Same Helicopter follows me too.. And god knows where that semi is..

Your not going to believe this either, heaps of people must have really loved it, because every time I would turn at a roundabout they would all beep there horns and wave at me, I thought it was really nice, they must have been able to tell it was a new car. What did you do go the wrong way around the round a bout.. drive past a Defender owners convention or something lol..

Congratulations, now it's your job to see everything is fixed under warranty, that a Cruise Control and a Blue Tooth enabled stereo are fitted, and then to load it up with other goodies. Those of us who can only buy 2nd hand expect all that stuff to already be sorted.

Just so you know, we generally like lockers, snorkels, cargo barriers, rear wheel carriers, long range tanks, radios (UHF or HF), upgraded shocks (may I suggest Bilstein or KONI), and a bar with a winch. Oh and don't forget the window tinting. We tend to be peculiar about tyres and lights, so we can sort that part out later.
