Southern Land Rover here in Perth told me the other day there is a "known" issue with a relay on the immobiliser system of Pumas. I have no clue on electronics, so this is really just a pass the info given to me. I also need to qualify that the car did not let me down or leave me stranded, as I'm expecting immediate lashings from the "oil burner brigade"

 .
Mine had a bit of a "moment" starting with flashing dash lights and a few seconds worth of engine swing without firing. Turned it off and started again with a bit of rev fluctuation and then it settled down.
Called the dealer up and they said "yeh, they know what's wrong and it's a 2 minute fix in the car park"! Took the car over at lunch and they unplugged some of the wires under the driver seat (brown ones...)

and plugged a new jobbie in and on my in, well 10 minutes!
10 days ago and all's good. Not fond of the immobiliser, but you can imagine the insurance premium hike if you took it out...
Cheers,
Lou
