    Keith,

I've got a lot of faith in the Front Runner gear. My '96 90 had one installed (back in '97) and it functioned perfectly for over 300,000km of the roughest terrain Africa could throw at it (building roads in Zambia and Tanzania at the time).

I don't know Long Ranger and I'm sure it's a good products as well, but you won't go wrong with the Front Runner tank. The only reason I've not fitted the two FR tanks is justifying trips to warrant the $2,400 it'll cost for the two tanks the 90 needs to make it worth the effort!

    Cheers,

    Lou

I've fitted the twin sill tanks from Front Runner on my MY12 D90 and also helped another AULRO member instal his. Absolutely brilliant! Was it worth it? No question - for me anyway. Towing a loaded trailer from Perth to Geraldton and back would have required several fuel stops without the extra tanks. Going further North to Carnarvon and beyond, and including a few side tracks for a few hundred km's, and you pretty soon realise you'd be breathing in the stinky Diesel fumes from a bunch of jerry cans or filling the trailer with the jerry cans. All comes down to how often you travel out of the Metro area, how much you like standing around remote and expensive roadhouses filling up again or how much you like trying to get fuel from the jerry into the filler nozzle rather than all down the side of the car and all over your hands.
    Cheers

I had a 46ltre sill tank made for my 110 with transfer pump fittings etc for $600 complete, much cheaper than any other tank,I also have a 100ltre poly tank in the rear behind the back seats,$200 from Rota Plastics from Perth and gravity fed into the sill.Having a poly tank in the rear is cheap and easy and doesn't fill the cab with fumes. The major difference between the Frontrunner tanks and the Longranger is that with the Frontrunner you can keep your factory steps if you have them. If you get it from Mulgo you can get a Y filler so you don't have extra holes in the side.

I've had a Long Range Automotive 135litre replacement main tank in my 110 for a few months now - seems like a good unit and no dramas to date.

Long term plan is to fit LRA sill tanks as well (one as water one as fuel).

I have to learn to post pictures.I bought the chequer plate pieces that go between the rear doors and the wheel arch and cut and fitted a plastic filler thier, the pipe then runs down over the outrigger under the seats and down to the tank that I had made that fits between the outrigger and the rear chassis mount for the radius arms.My X-Tech has the factory side steps as standard so none of the shop bought sill tanks fit and IMHO thier too exxy for what they are.The tank fits neat, holds 46ltres and works very well.
