Hi Beefy,
I had the 'Long Ranger' 120 Lt replacement main tank fitted to our 2012 110 from new, (P/n TR55). It's excellent...gets my vote. The installation finish is spot on, as is the obvious increase in range.

A sheet metal shop at Rutherford NSW,2mm mild steel plate with an internal baffle,1.6mm thickness mild steel exhaust pipe,50mm O/D for the filler and rivnut into the chassis on the front and 10mm bolts to the rear outrigger.Really neat and easy for $400 plus $200 for pump, filter and a few metres of fuel hose. I have the front runner set up with the single filler option from Mulgo. Jaybo helped me fit them a few weeks back and I'm very happy, I kept my factory side steps although minus one support.I can modify that later . I did a test with them down South of WA on beaches sand dunes and through the forrest. All good they fill very easy no blow back of coughing the pumps work well and transfer very quickly. I have genuine LR switches on the dash and they fit in and look good. IT took me a whole weekend to fit and that was with Jaybo's prior fitting knowledge so its not a 5 min job. We bought the 4 tanks and other gear as a bulk buy and saved a bit of cash.

The one on the right is very similar to mine. Pat
Hi I brought a 03 130 D/Cab and it has fitted the Long Ranger tanks, a 120L main
and the 35L on the side, I have hadnt any problems with them its just a shame the person who had them fitted didnt get the fuel gauge re calibrated, I now worked out when the needle is on half I have about 35L left. I found out the messy way , was told dont go under half because your nearly empty so when I got half I drained the tank to see what was left , filled up 3 10l buckets and the rest ended up over me and the pavers hehe . I can go from Kwinana to Walpole and busselton on a tank with 4wd in between .
What certification do you need for the home made (as such) tanks as I would be interested in doing something similar

Hi JayBo,
After coming out to look at your tank fitment in 2013 I finally got around to doing mine ready for an extended trek. Found the Mulgo Y-Filler and the whole tank fitment pretty easy. Secured the fuel lines up against the body work so hopefully all goes well.

I am happy with the long ranger that I have in a Puma 110, but be aware that some tow bars are not compatible with the long ranger tank.
