Thanks to everyone for commenting. It is interesting to hear the different comments they get. Some people are very supportive and realise the great adventure that they are going to have and others are in pure shock horror, like the guy they met at the airport or the Mother inlaw
One of the girls on the trip who only booked her ticket 1.5 days before was so nervous as she had never done anything like this before, So far they are all having a wow of a time.

I'll be in Bright week commencing 15th so I guess I'll miss the coming home party.
Hope all goes well and they finish with the same happy faces that they have started out with.

I'm as jealous as hell - I would LOVE to be doing a trip like that. It epitomises the Australian way of life - adventure, comradeship, spontaneity - FUN

Not too sure when they are due home. There was talk of this Wednesday as one of them has to work, but on the trip down to Melbourne it may be possible she can get this off. Latest day they have to be back by is next Sunday as alot of the husbands need to go back to work!

hpoe they are taking lots of piccies of this adventure! would be awesome! nothing beats a spontaneous, epic road trip with an awesome, car full of character haha. LOL you are so not going to be getting your new landie back :P I dare say the missus will have fallen inlove and declared ownership of it by now :P
