- Is there an off-the-shelf water tank available for under the driver's feet or did you construct your own? Fitted by original owner - apparently a local manufactured one in Alice Springs (but I painted over the label years ago!)
- Is is susceptible to damage from underneath when driving over rock steps or boulders? Yes - if I were building it I would make it smaller and not extending below the chassis - currently in need of repair!
- Does it heat up from the exhaust? No, exhaust on the Isuzu is on the opposite side outside the chassis. But does warm up from the road in hot weather
I think someone (was it GAV110?) had an under-floor locker there... and come to think of it one of my '85 Counties had a 75L fuel tank that was mounted up under the driver's seat by the previous owner. That had a hefty steel plate (probably 10Kg!) bolted there for protection when rock hopping.
Hope that helps.
