I'm curious why cruise control is absolutely required?

If his top two are bar and CC I'd say it's a fair bet he does a lot of high speed/ highway driving. As such CC is a wonderful addition, although I rarely use mine. Makes me lazy I think.

It would have save me a close encounter of the flashing-red-and-blue-lights variety on my last outback trip...

Cc for me can't wait, can just relax and have a conversation, instead of watching the needle.

    Chook,

Looking at it myself and I got this reply back from Davis Performance (they're in NSW and I'm in WA):

    Thank you for your enquiry,

The Cruise Control kit is $900.00 fitted I say fitted as it is the only way it can be purchased. We (Davis Performance) do not fit these units they are sold by our supplier and as a condition of sale must be installed by the there recommended installer.

The kit is called Aus Cruise by Autron if you would like to see if they have offices in W.A., I hope this helps

I suppose a system is a system, but I really like the control on this one (appears to be the Ford Ranger Manual one - make sense on the engine I suppose)) which appears to be pretty solid.

    Cheers,

    Lou

    Chook,

    Cost of Cruise control?

Don't know what you'd pay, I fitted my own. Total cost about $5.00 for a couple of switches and some wire from jcar and an hour of my time to wire up and fit. I have a Td5 so its a simple job. Not sure how it would work on any other model though.

Like the roo bar it has paid for itself many, many times over. In fact I find it hard to think of any of the other mods that I have that have had similar rewards.

That's why they're my favourites and thats why I absolutely require them.
