It is looking more and more like this engine is going to get a rebuild. The exchange short engine was purely a time/ cost scenario, but not getting the answers I need from industry IE reconditioners (NOT even return calls) has led me to advise a strip and rebuild of his own bottom end. At least then I can establish actual cause of failure, Watch this space

Thankyou! I have a customer with a transit/ duratorq, this is why I know there are quite a lot of differences with ancilliaries etc etc but it would help to know if that is ALL there is in the different vehicle applications.
