Touch wood...
No, not a single issue with my car other than a dodgy relay on the immobiliser.
They (Southern) replaced on their own accord the output shaft seal (or something like that) as well as the rear window/ stop light issue that was unique to the batch my vehicle was in.
I had a bit of a squeak on my clutch pedal, but a quick spray of white grease made that go away... your's doesn't sound that simple if they're talking ordering parts...
Cheers,
Lou
There's a service bulletin about the clutch pedal. They replaced the spring and the pivot bushes and it still sounds like an old wooden door opening. I can feel it grating too.
I think they should just replace my car with a 2013 model in tangiers orange, fully optioned, for free
Any more information about the service bulletin, or what is causing the noise? I have a TD5, and have replaced the spring and pivot bushes, and it still sounds like that wooden door... and I can definitely feel it grating as well.
My next guess would be the piston jagging (?) on the side of the cylinder, but I would have thought that that would only happen once the seals were well and truly stuffed, and I would get fluid loss as an additional symptom...
'Tis a mystery to me. I planning on disassembling the clutch housing/mechanism to find it, as it's VERY annoying...

After a quick look in the workshop manual this afternoon, tonight I popped off the top cover to the clutch master cylinder assembly - it was much easier to get to that I thought. A liberal dousing of WD40 for the time being, and it's removed the grinding/crunching/creaking from the clutch action.
Daylight will see a closer look. Next step might be to open it up a bit more, clean it all up, and apply some grease to the moving parts.
