    Stupid bloody door thingy..........
This has taught me to be wary of my favorite jeans and jackets.

You can get a replacement door catch thingy aptly named the xtrouser (check out x eng from the UK).

    http://www.x-eng.co.uk/StoreDisplay.asp?MID=79&SL=81.

Not too cheap but then again neither are some jeans. Can be pretty embarrassing too. I'm short and light so just end up hanging there getting a wedgie as I exit the vehicle.

I bought those, painfully hard to align.

Fitted a set of x-trousers a few weeks back (had them for months) haven't caught a set of trousers since, I did however have to make a new spacer/shim for the drivers door.
To align just nip up and close the door, gently open and then tighten.

I´ve had some success with these things that you wrap around the seat belt (wasn´t my idea). I´ve put two of them to the drivers belt and nobody managed to catch the belt since (and if doing so the belt would not suffer). The "sealt belt cushions" that I use are made from leather-alike and kind of heavy. Makes putting on the belt a litte tricky when it has twisted, but nothing serious. Was intended as a stop gap until x-eng parts would be ordered, but it on for a year already.

The door retainer / extenders are also sold by X-eng, althougn that Mugro fella appears to sell a ponced up version as well. Having said that, it would pretty much be easier to make your own as all they are is a small bit of ally with two holes and a nut and bolt very easily done. You can work out the measurment from the pictures on the websites or just unbolt the existing retainer and measure how much further you want to extend them - easy - peasy. It amazes me what some people will pay for.

That would be Mulgo that your referring to. The extenders he sells definitely are not a ponced version. They are good quality.

I have them fitted to mine and they are Fantastic!

That fellow's name is Daniel and you can ask anyone on this site and they will praise his service, I personally prefer to give an Aussie business the service before sending money overseas, so I will and have spend/spent with him.

Knowing Daniel from Mulgo quite well and having a prototype set of the door extenders it comes as no surprise to me how much development Daniel puts into something so simple.

Mine are just a few mm longer than the final version however that resulted in the actuator cables being stretched and exposed causing the alarm to randomly short out resulting in me having to have it towed twice and a mechanic spending hours of fault finding..... not so easy - peasy..... but as with all of these things there are always people that simply don't, and will probably never, understand the value in product R&D and go onto the internet openly trashing something they know little about......
