Whilst working in PNG we supported a number of telecommunication networks who operated remote microwave towers. We would lift fuel in for them every few months as the sites were diesel powered about 7 hours per day which also charged the batteries.
They were using interoil diesel who knew nothing of winter diesel.. me nosavi. In the end we talked them into 50 % diesel and 50% jet a1 with the 2T supplement for some lubricity.
Because of the altitude we could often only lift 2 drums with a squirrel but the mighty Lama could manage 3. Window to drop people on the hills was often an hour every 3 days with one crew having walked out after being there a week. Pretty funny to see PNG natives in beanies, ugg boots and big parkers.
Works well in a tdi 300 too.
