    Question Td5 gearbox filler bolt

    Hi all

    Just a quick question.
    what do I need to remove the filler nut on a td5 gearbox?
    2005 model defender.

    The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
    The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈

    I'd suggest trying to clean the torx out before trying to remove it.

    Yes, another good point! I have seen lots of damaged ones from not getting the bit in deep enough due to dirt in the recess.

    Don't get one that's too long. The shorter the better as its a reasonably tight squeeze getting it in.
    Guy at a tool shop was trying to sell me an impact driver version because that's all he had but it was too long.
    Went to Repco and got a Repco branded one which was fine.
