That's the exact reason I fitted my own as you know exactly how sealed it is and where the drains are and if they're plugged.
You need half a day to fit one if you go slow and do the right thing.
Mine is on a TD5 but I'm sure it's fairly similar.
Ring Daniel at Mulgo. I bought a Windcheater 2.0 m rack for a lot less than the LR one. I am very happy with it. Consider a safari snorkel as well. The LR RAI is not sealed. You will have to buy a kit off Nugget to do that. It's a personal choice but the LR Bullbar is a bit pricey. i would go ARB or the tubular one I have from Mulgo. I think the tubular bar suits the 90 better. If I bought a 110 I would go ARB. The LR spotties are $1000. As Leroy said, you could get a couple of spotties and a light bar for that.
So far my mods in my Puma 90 have been to remove a rear seat (see my posting today about removing the other one), tow bar and TJB bullbar. The roof has been measured up for a custom roof rack a mate is building for me - I have seen his work before and the roof racks are good. I have decided to go the jerry can route instead of extra fuel tanks - much, much cheaper, especially considering the amount of use they will get.
One mod (if you could call it a modification) that hasn't been mentioned is an extra spare wheel. I am going to Innamincka in Oct with a group of other 4wders and will be getting myself an extra wheel. I am keeping my wheels stock standard so will need to get a quote from the LR Dealer to see how much a rim and/or tyre costs. I think that Devon 4x4 have them for about 80 pounds. Might be cheaper to get it from the UK - do other fellow forumites have info on the extra wheel?
cheers
Andrew
Unless you are heading to Innamincka cross country (ie really off road) where there is a high risk of staking a tyre then you are most unlikely to need an extra spare let alone an extra rim. If you are really worried just take an extra tyre and buy your self some tyrepliers or similar.
Cheers

Where are the spotties going? Roof rack or front bar.
I'd definitely look at a light bar instead of spotties, they're cheaper and brighter.
I bought the following for about $230 delivered and it's been awesome since install:
http://bit.ly/Zkyfjp
20 INCH 120W CREE LED WORK LIGHT BAR 10320LM FLOOD OFFROAD LAMP SECKILL 27W/100W
You can obviously get a size to suit your location.
Narva driving lights on the bar, 42 inch light bar on the front of the roof rack.
You have to buy a kit off nugget to seal the bit between the RAI and the airbox, it is NOT sealed from factory and which RAI you choose has no bearing on this at all. It is up to the installer of the RAI how or in fact if the RAI is sealed to the vehicle, most installers do NOT seal the RAI or snorkel at all no matter the brand.
My safari was not sealed by the installer (a very well known 4wd brand) and it took just a small bump from the mirror of another vehicle trying to change lanes into me to create a big hole between the panel and the "snorkel"
If you plan to exceed the wading depth at all make sure the entire air system is sealed with Nuggets kit and a properly installed snorkel/RAI.
