I just installed a P3 controller in my MY12 110 yesterday. I was thinking about the brake switch too but thought it would be safer to follow the disco lead on other threads on here and use the rear tail light trailer connection for the feed. IT just meant running two wires instead of one down to the rear.
I am happy at the moment and was able to lock the brakes manually on the trailer by bumping the power up too high so I know it works.
Only issue I have noticed is that the P3 says there is no trailer connected when I reverse, even when using the reverse feature. Weird as it reconnects when I have stopped.
