The Mulgo and Dolium metal units are Front Runner, but Mulgo I also believe sell Australian made glass ones as well.
Must be differences between our shelves as my Front Runner shelving unit is not that heavy, but having said that would not by the shelves again but would make my own out of aluminium using aluminium tube and joiners with mesh to allow better configuration.

If I had the option, I would've chosen the Mulgo ones. Well, the Mulgo cabinet behind the gullwing anyway - the Dolium one is welded steel and weighs a ton. I believe Mulgo does his in marine carpeted ply which is lighter and his also has a deeper pocket beneath the gullwing opening. In terms of the gullwings themselves I think the difference is pretty minimal.

Not having the glass back there has only bothered me at one very acute intersection in the last four or so years. Unfortunately it's one I see a lot of - so I've learnt to pull up at a slight angle. Problem solved.
