I ordered my 110 on 16 Feb 13 and received delivery on 25 May 13.
Five months seems excessive, maybe production schedule during mid year is longer. But don't despair, I waited 8 months for my VW but the anticipation was worth it.
Cheers

						 New "90"..Delivery "schedule"?
 New "90"..Delivery "schedule"?
We ordered our "90" on 4th June, & were told delivery would be approximately 5 months.
According to our documentation, the build of our car should have commenced at Solihull yesterday 4/9?
Just wondering if there are any other new buyers on here who have been waiting for their Defender, and whether they received, or expect to receive it, on time?
Cheers, Pickles.

From what I can remember the production and delivery of our 110 was about a month beyond the estimated delivery date in 2012. But I understand its all a bit random. Sometimes a dealer cancels an order for a spec that is already on the production schedule and if you've got a similar spec you can get jumped right up the list.
What I do remember is our dealer kept us advised of the progress of the vehicle once it left the factory because he knew we were interested.
Good luck getting your 90. Its an exciting time. We couldn't be happier with Hector
Cheers Alan
I will be buying a new 110 in April next year when my current lease expiresso I have been looking at the car sales listings for a while too see what is available.
Can some one clarify...the dealer advertisements on car sales for new MY13 90's or 110's...would they actually be in stock or you only need to order six months ahead for a non standard build?
I don't want to wait 199 days till April 14 just to be told that i need to wait another six months for a vehicle

It depends upon what you want.
There are quite a few "options" available for Defender....but there are "Options", and there are "Accessories".....Options are installed online at Solihull, but accessories are fitted by your Dealer, in Aus.
So, if the "base spec" that you want could be located in Aus at the time of your order, your Dealer could probably access it from another Dealer in Aus, but if not, then it's gotta be built....hense the delay.
Our Dealer, ULR, informs me that they can easily sell every Defender they get.
At a yearly WORLDWIDE production figure of around only 16000, they ain't making a lot of 'em, & Aus takes only about 600, so....we are members of the "Exclusive Brethren"!
I reckon you should approach your local Dealer, grab a brochure, work out what your desired spec will be, & see what he says...will it have to be specifically built for you (as ours is), or not?
Cheers, Pickles
Hi Ozrob,
We went to the dealer today as they had a 90 and 110 wagon on display (WA) and when we said we weren't looking to take delivery until the middle of next year he said we could book a build spot by signing a contract and paying a deposit. So sometime around June next year I will take delivery of a new 110 Indus Silver wagon. The other part of this is that we have until the build commences to make any changes to the contract.
We didn't ask what the earliest date was as we weren't looking for a quick delivery. They said build time is about 4 months. So if you are looking for May you would probably need to sign by January. Easiest way would be to see a dealer. If they have one available in the specs you want you would be able to walk in and buy it straight away. We looked a couple of years ago and were given the same story as to the order process. LRA is allocated so many vehicles and they are then allocated to the dealers. If they have orders these are filled first and then any extra vehicles are distributed.
We signed as we wanted one but aren't ready to buy until next year and wanted to make sure we could get one before production stops. There were 4 (different models) in the yard which is the most we have seen for a while and we drive past the dealer a couple of times a week and always have a look to see what is on the floor.
Same story for me, and my original plan was sign some time between November and January. Looks like earlier in that window is better as I hear the boat is slow
Anything different planned for the MY14 spec that you noticed on the features / options list? I heard a rumour (on the internet, so it must be true!) that ESC was planned for MY14.
I don't suppose you got any hints about production end dates? lol

Spoke to Dealer this morning, our vehicle now has a Vin No, and is scheduled to reach the Dealer on the 9th November, having been ordered on 5th June....I was told around 5 months at the time. Still, 50 days to go!
I was informed that all their allocation of 90s has gone now, so if they got an order, there'd be a 6 month wait.
Cheers, Pickles.
