    So I have a question for those in the "know".
    If you place a locker in, do you really need to upgrade axles etc, or can you get away with the original equipment?

    If you have 24 spl axles already, you can always upgrade them when they break instead. The only problem is with a locker you may break them both at the same time like Aquarangie did...

    OE Landrover axles are generally much weaker than the aftermarket options.

    Does this apply to Puma axles more or less so...also is it the same unit front and rear?

    Not bad, even worth a gamble I reckon considering ARB's are around (last time I priced them) $1800 (just for the locker) then add the compressor, lines, installation, axles, etc, etc.

    I believe the pumas don't get the Salsibury/Dana 44 rear diff...

    should be able to get them installed for less then $700! That's less then 2 gorillas all up! that's good buying!

    Very nice spring days. Off in the boat scalloping and fishing on Thu.

    So my 90 Puma def has no Salisbury - does it mean not strong enough to cope with a rear locker?
