I reckon, that if the vehicle's being "built" for you, you'd be doing VERY well at 4 months.
It can depend upon when the Dealer gets his order in, I think maybe they only order twice a month, then Solihull have to schedule it etc etc, then it has to get to the Dock, on the boat, off the boat, through customs etc, to the dealer, P.D'd, .....then you get it!!!
The dealer should be able to quote you a "common order no", "NSC order no", and a"Factory Order No". When you get these details, you should then, or shortly after, be able to obtain a scheduled build date etc. At my request, my Dealer provided us with copies of this stuff from their computer.
Regards, Martin.
I reckon Keswick Green with a tan coloured canvas top would be great. I'm seriously considering ordering a new Defender in about 12 months time, not sure on 90 or 110 yet but either way it would be getting a canvas top![]()
I really miss the old "Arctic White" of the late 90's in terms of a colour that doesn't show any marks and very little dust and dirt as well.
Looks white, until you park next to an actual white car…
My 90 is my first and possibly last Defender in metallic paint (Stornoway Grey, but no plans to ever sell her now). If I was buying a new one I would go for pretty much any of the solid colour with preference towards the muted shades.
Pickles' Keswick Green one does look stunning (refer your pre delivery photo).
I hope the new "Defender" or what ever the post 2015 car is called is sensible enough to look good in a traditional "flat colour".
Cheers,
Lou
Bugger of a colour to keep clean but I am sold on Firenze Red. It just pops in the sunlight looking over the bonnet.
Love the colour, but don't put a white roof on as it then looks very ordinary for some reason.

Looked at a Keswick 110 at the dealers today. My thoughts are that its an awful colour but I want one. There's something about it that is just Landrover and the car looks right in it.
So we'll be changing our order to Keswick with a white roof.
