    Arrow Replacement Cover

You need to be a little clearer in your line of questioning
There's crap loads of bolt on diff guards out there if protection is what your are chasing:QT, Terra Firma, APT Fabrications, Bearmach, Dolium, White Tiger, etc...
->Protect<- But i would like a replacement cover like the ARB one rather than a bolt on the top over the tinny ones they come with. I thought my link pretty much shows what I'm after.

BTW What is the Name/Model No: of the Current Defender Diffs.

    All models have a Rover front, 90s have a Rover rear, 110 & 130s have a P38 rear.

If you read my previous post you'll get a sense if why nothing like the ARB cover is available for these diffs - you're looking at a product that only works on a fundamentally different diff construction.

With the exception of some very rare alternatives, the over the top tinny ones are your only option.

Try googling images of Salisbury and Rover Diffs and you'll see what I mean.

The Rover type diffs, including the'P38' type in late model Defenders don't have a removable back cover like the Salisbury so you won't find anything like the ARB cover to suit.

    Rover diff

    Salisbury diff

    ARB cover on Salisbury

Been following this thread with interest as I'm in a similar situation - just put down a deposit on a new defender and deciding on a wish list of toys to add to it

So is there any news on this Murray?

    Question ONLINE Stores

    Still Looking for Diff Guards.
PM1133 | Wraparaound Rover Axle Diff Guard - Galvanised
PM1133 | Wraparaound Rover Axle Diff Guard - Galvanised

"Paddock" to me the prices seem better than others i've found online, are these guys considered one of the Cheeper Stores out there& any Aussie Stores that better the UK online Stores
(Not sure about Freight cost back to OZ with the UK stores).

When it comes to purchasing Car Parts online i have no idea who are the better priced places to look at but ask me about buying SCUBA items then that ones easy for me.

Paddocks are cheap but I've only ever bought from them when I've been in the UK, never had stuff sent here.
There's a thread in general chat called 'parts from the motherland....' see if u can search that thread out as it had some other good suggestions.

    G'day Rickoz,
I was just starting to read some of your posts in your wish list,
I was also thinking about my experience with diff guards,
Some diff guards may have clearance issues with the steering box sector shaft under axle articulation, with the right front spring compressed a front runner diff guard will hit on the steering sector shaft of most defenders running standard suspension and bump stops.

Also the diff guard that you reference from paddocks for the rear diff, PM147 is ok on early model defenders and 90's, but will NOT fit on TD5's and TDCI 90 models because there is not enough room between the diff and the fuel tank and the guard WILL puncture the fuel tank under suspension compression.
For the TD5 and the TDCI 90 models you need a specific rear diff guard for these models.

    Regards,
    Mike.

    Question EXHAUST WRAP

    Anybody used them before.
What are the thoughts on using Exhaust Wraps on a Defender.
    • Good, they Reduce the Heat in the Cabin.
    • Bad, they Increase the chance of holding Moister, accelerating corrosion.
