What are the thoughts on using Exhaust Wraps on a Defender.
    • Good, they Reduce the Heat in the Cabin.
    • Bad, they Increase the chance of holding Moister, accelerating corrosion.
Do a search, discussed before many times.

Inc and I for two have used it for a very long time.

Anybody used them before that is a Real 4WD'er/4x4'er & not just a Traveler that happens to own a Defender, you know the type So someone that does go through Creeks & Muddy Areas, so the Wrap maybe Wet till it dryers out from being too hot.

No matter what people say about the benefits or down falls of wrap, the way I see it, is yes there are benefits, but this comes from motorbike background, and it hides the problem of corrosion. If it's not wrapped you notice it and will fix it, if it's wrapped, you don't notice the problem until it's past the point of no return and you have to buy a new exhaust. It depends if you want coolness or visibility.
    Cheers

    Arrow

Hello All you Defender Owners, i'm putting up my wish list in the hope for any advice you may wish to give a new Defender Owner I'll go from front to back sorta.

A Front Bar something much stronger than the paper thin one they come with, I'm not really a Big Bull Bar type of guy just not sure what's out there on offer or who to buy from. Something like the Basic D44 Front Bumper.

Rock/Tree Sliders (1) for Side Impact Protection (2) from Grots who slam doors up against other cars with no care (3) for what the are designed for protect from Rock & Tree rubbing up agains the 4B, OR have someone make em for me i'm guessing chassis mounted is the best option.

Snorkel, this one is easy the Metal Snorkel

Cruse Control, again not sure what's out there on offer

Spare White HD Steel Rim & Tyre

    Water Storage

More Fuel Storage (it is a D90)

    Do i need a AirCompressor?

    Anderson Plug

    1or2 12v Cigaret Plugs

    CargoNet

Do i need a Eaton eLocker (after warranty expires)

Do i need a better/extra Fuel filtration system?

Do i need a Duel Battery system?

Exhaust Wrap, will this help to reduce Heat?

    Gullwing Windows

Rust Protection (Penetrol & Wax Stuff)

    Shekels for the Front

Do i need any of the Underbody Protection

    Do i need a Winch

So any advanced advice will be appreciated & i promise to put up Pics once i've collected it & put my "wish list" on it. Regards Rick.

Try to support Aussie Manufactures when they offer good products at comparable prices.
