    New Purchase Accessories

    Hey all,

Looking into a new 110 purchase and was after some help regarding the factory accessories. What I am curious about is whether these bits and pieces are worth getting installed at factory, or better getting aftermarket? Also curious if anyone knows pricing?

    • Front & Rear Mudflaps
    • Sun Hatch (never even seen a photo of one, cant seem to find either)
    • Side Runners (Twin Tube)
    • RAI / Snorkel
    • Rear LED Lamps
    • Halogen Headlights
    • Premium Partial Leather Seats
    • Black Leather Hand Brake, Gear and Transfer Lever Gaiters
    • Chequer plate protection kit
    • Floor Mats
    • Wing Top Protectors
    • Ribbed Aluminium Undershield
Anything else worth getting from factory?

Front & Rear Mudflaps - Rear are std fitment. fronts are $100.
    Sun Hatch - $590
Halogen Headlights - Std fitment and have been for years
Premium Partial Leather Seats -$1510. May also require leather pack which is another $700 or so if you want partial leather in the rest of the car
    Siderunners - $740

Note there are a few new accessories in the MY14 brochure vs the MY13 brochure.

Updated accessories list and pricing for most of those can be found here:

    e-Brochure | Land Rover Australia

    ...in the specifications link.

    New goodies include:

    • Interior Window Guards – Side Windows VPLDS0247
    • Interior Window Guards – Rear Windows VPLDS0248
    • Seatback Stowage – Standard
    • Seatback Stowage – Premium Leather

Get them to fit an ARB bullbar and depending upon your height, partners height maybe look at Mulgo / expedition centre for rocksliders as well as rijidij wheel carrier. Also if you have little uns you will need bolts fitted either to the seats or a crab bar.

I wouldnt mind knowing the pricing on thos window guards.

Regarding the rocksliders, LandRover offer some side runners, are they the same thing? If so, are the LR ones any good or am I better off getting aftermarket? Cheaper also?

I would love a wheel carrier also, but at the moment I am thinking in terms of what LandRover can install from factory, etc...

I've asked Duckworth parts for a price on the guards and the carpet sets (in the UK) Will be an interesting comparison to local prices at least.

That's where I got my seat cover sets, and mats from.

Will post them up when I get them

G'Day. IMHO, in terms of your original post, only two of your items will be fitted "on line" at Solihull, the Sunroof & partial leather seats. All the others will be "dealer fitted" when the vehicle arrives here,...so you've got plenty of time to make your mind up on the others.
    Cheers, Pickles.

Just be aware Defenders fall in to the Luxury Car Tax Bracket. Anything you order from factory is included in the purchase price and thus recieves the luxury tax on it too as it is calculated as a percentage of purchase cost. The more you add after delivery will save you tax over things that are added pre delivery.

I believe if you sign a contract for just the car then order the accessories seperately after that, they will still fit them prior to delivery but they dont attract the tax as they are a seperate purchase not included in the original purchase cost.

    Jim
