Under the seat seems to be a pretty common defender compressor mounting location.

Are you going to run the tyre inflation kit off the compressor also?

I would consider somewhere more accessible if so

What size compressor? I have the small one under the drivers seat in the front of the box. Still room for first aid pack etc behind it. They do get hot.

Mine has an airline plug on either side of the box plumbed from the compressor so I can plug my air hose in an fill either side tyres with ease. No need to access the compressor. I can post a photo if you like but will have to take one first.

Sounds like a great set up, a photo when you get a chance would be tops.
Under the front seats is out of the question as there both pretty full.

Mine is plumbed to an outlet each side of the box too, just inside the rear doors, no need to access it, just hit the switch on the dash, it's pumped up to pressure by the time I've pulled up. Even has a little air receiver and cooling fan in there.
