Could be the 'ol dreaded fuel pump disease! Does it hum on ignition, then settle down to quiet? or not a lot of hum?

My 130 td5 is getting hard to start, especially when hot. Some times fires up straight away, other times have to crank it several times.Have tried bleeding fuel with on and off ignition, doesn;t seem to make much difference.Once started runs fine.Any ideas

No,will do that today in between carting water from your old man.Have charged battery o/nite,seemed pretty full though. Will check starting voltage when i crank it.Battery is about 3 years old.
Probably the contacts in your starter motor. Search on here for how to remedy.
