    Ian,

How are you finding it now it's been installed for a month or so?
Apart from crawling under the car a couple of time to check the installation I've not done anything further. No issues.

Have you had to drain the glass bowl since the install, and if so how did you do it without spilling diesel everywhere? It looks, from your pictures that it only sits a few mm above the cross member.
Yes it does fit close but I think it's possible to slip some clear plastic tube on the drain.

I was also looking at fitting the APT fuel cooler guard, do you reckon it would fit alongside the filter and it's surrounding guard?
Funny you should mention APT and their fuel cooler guard. I had already ordered APT's fuel cooler guard along with their track and drag link rods which arrived the other day. I've not fitted them as yet as I don't have the car at the moment. I think the guard will fit.

Yes it does fit close but I think it's possible to slip some clear plastic tube on the drain. I was wrong. No room to fit clear tube when tightened and certainly no room when undone to drain. I used a donor tupperware container to make a drip tray with drain for now.

    No problems.

Ask ? Well no. It lurked at the bottom of the plastics drawer without a lid, so should not be missed.

    I love an optimist,
    Been there done that,

But a clever solution, ordering the filter next month, BAS scored the spare change this month.

Oh it will be noticed/missed eventually. I've been sprung many a time .

I'm in the same boat as AndyG, will order filter kit once the tax man returns the money he owes. Pete got my hard earned this month.

Good to know about the APT guard, thanks Dirk.

[QUOTE=AndyG;2364420]Why would it be consider necessary to cool the return fuel. Is this common on other Marques, or unique to LR

And a little bit of research

Am thinking the cooler is worth keeping, but I have no technical quals[/Q

If you send hot fuel back to a tank you will get condensation. Besides the actual water damaging the system, only way you get diesel bugs is by having water in diesel as they thrive in the interface between where the settled water meets the diesel

    Cheers Dirk,

Very helpful, I too will now be hooking up one of these systems.

    Thanks again.
