Just need to swap differential for carburetor when singing along
Figured I should join in the conversation since it's my car - although Lone Ranger wants to 'share' and take many long turns at driving it
It's the whole package and that when you drive a Defender it's like nothing else matters. Time doesn't matter, worries don't matter. You know the journey won't be quick so you just enjoy it.
I tried to explain this to my female co-workers but they don't understand why I'd think that a brand new car with virtually no electric features, that you know that something's worked when you hear the clunk and where you have to slam the doors so they close, and that has a little leak when it rains heavily could be so great!
Thankfully there are a few guys around who I can talk to who understand, even if they are insanely jealous...
I do wonder what people must have thought on all those cold winter mornings seeing me driving this big car (the 110) dressed like an eskimo with the windows down and singing along to Queen blasting from the stereo

By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

Clancy MY15 110 Defender
Clancy's gone to Queensland Rovering, and we don't know where he are
Your rig looks great!!! I love my 90 too! (although I have to say mine is better because it's green) It's great getting around in it, windows down. People always look at me, in my mind it's because they are checking out my ride and getting jealous that I have such a cool car BUT in reality it probably more likely that they are thinking "look at that fool" I dont care though.
My A/C doesn't get used very often either, I pretty much always roll with the windows down, sooo much better. I would still have bought the car even if it didn't have A/C!!! Maybe I should just pull it out... no just kidding. This does however make the inside a bit dusty, the other day the MIL got in it and commented on how much sand was in the footwell (she wasn't very impressed)
Anyway hope you continue to enjoy both of your rides!
I'm a little late on this one, but I just wanted to say congratulations on your new Defender. It's a cracker; I hope you enjoy it.
Had a couple of firsts in the last few days. Towing our 1.5 tonne camper trailer and 4wding. Awesome fun!
I think all the deefers have driven south for Christmas. Never seen so many in one spot

I know this is not the RR forum but thought you may be interested in seeing it on a RRS a as it happens to not complement the Discover but look awesome on the RRS. One of the first in the country
Just got back from our trip down south to Denmark. Took the little 90. Towed the camper without any issues better than the Dmax in fact. Got our first taste of some beach driving in a Defender. Absolutely awesome.
Only 1 problem, apparently I'm not the designated driver anymore. Not liking this passenger seat thingy.

A nice Brunello de Montelcino is one of my all time favourite red wines. Driving one of these would be a bit like swimming in the stuff. Lol
It is a really nice colour on the Deefer. Maybe even nicer than the old 'bare aluminium' silver they used to offer.
My missus would have one but only if:
1. It wold fit in a normal multi-storey car park and
2. Was automatic.
So, no.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".
