No mate, 2200kg. Where did you hear 1400?

I would imagine the 130 rims and 255s would rub, especially if you have any decent wheel travel, i have 255s on 0 offset rims and they rubbed on the upper spring hanger on my county when it flexed, this wasnt an issue in my disco though with the smaller diameter rear springs.

As for load ratings, i run 16x8 -25 dynamics and MTZ 285s on my 130, its pretty well decked out with loads of gear weighing it down, add to the myself, my wife and 2 kids along with all of our gear, tools, spares, fridge, food etc etc etc for a 6 week trip and towing a fairly hefty camper, they handled that without a fault on our cape york trip last year, and it sees some off road use pretty much weekly at my farm.... the only issues i have had was 1 rim was slightly buckled right from the factory when i got them.

BTW i dont run any additional flares on the front, just standard defender flares up front and after market flares on the rear HCPU tray, mainly because i have been lazy to fit the fronts, but i havnt had any hassles from the police.

I never had a problem with 130 rims and 255/85's rubbing on the spring perches, but the turning circle is abysmal (and I put up with it for years !)

0mm offset on 7" rims is so much better it isn't funny.

Awesome, good to know. I may have pulled that number out of my arse, thought I had seen it somewhere though.

1400kg is the rating for the ZU alloys, which to my knowledge are the highest rating you are going to get on any alloy.

Land Rover OEM alloys (Freestyle, Boost, Sawtooth and Dual Finish) are all 1200kg if I'm not mistaken.

    Cheers,

    Lou

For what its worth i've just dropped off my 130 wolf rims to have the offset changed, as with the 255/85/16 tyres they do rub. Because of the full air bag suspension I have a bit more wheel travel than the coil setup. The tyres rub on the radius arms, the rear spring towers, but most worringly one side just rubs the rear air bag... I went throught the "just buy a set of cheap steel wheels" argument, but as has been mentioned they are only about half the thickness and therefore half the load rating. May not be an issue for some but our 130 is a touring vehicle and will be at GVM often. I'm having the rims moved 15mm (about the max possible) so will be about +5mm when finished and hopefully still be inside the flares. Cost $70 per rim for offset change.
    Cheers,
    Andrew.
